Pacers Conclude The Regular Season With 7th Consecutive Win

The Pacers defeated Greensboro College in their final game of the regular season by a score of (92-83) and will finish as the #2 seed in the USA South Conference East Division. Tyson Sellers also achieved a career milestone as he tallied his 1000th career point.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Deandre Thomas would pick up the first points for the Pacers with a fastbreak in the paint (2-0). Trey Bryant would get the team rolling with a dunk off a fastbreak before Camden Ferguson's shot from downtown would give WPU an (11-0) advantage. The Pride would make up some ground before a layup by Beau Bryant and a 3-pointer by Donolly Tyrell Jr. would increase the lead to (19-7). John Burwell would add a few consecutive points to keep the Pacers in the lead (23-12).
  • The Pride would go on a run before Tyson Sellers could get under the net for 2 for a (30-22) lead. John Burwell would continue to roll for the Pacers as he added several consecutive points to give WPU an 18-point advantage (40-22). The Pride would add several shots from behind the arc to close the gap, but Camden Ferguson's buzzer beater shot from behind the arc would send the Pacers into halftime with a (48-40) lead.
  • Trey Bryant would get the Pacers started early in the second half (50-40), with a layup by Deandre Thomas bringing the score to (52-46). John Burwell would add 2 and draw the foul before adding another 2 to increase the Pacer lead to (57-46). Trey Bryant would add a 3-pointer (64-52) before Mikal Gaylord's own shot from downtown brought the score to (69-64).
  • Ti'Quan Whitmore would take his own shot from behind the arc (74-68), with Tyson Sellers and John Burwell both contributing layups to increase the Pacer lead to (78-72). Mikal Gaylord would add another 3 (81-72) before Tyson Sellers would drive under the net to bring the score to (87-78). John Burwell and Mikal Gaylord would add a few last made free throws as the Pacers secured the win (92-83).

PACER TOP PERFORMERS
  • Trey Bryant recorded a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds. 
  • John Burwell led the team with 26 points as he went 8 for 14 from the field. 
  • Tyson Sellers recorded his 1000th career point as he added 12 points.

FOR THE FOES
  • Michael Phifer led the Pride with 22 points and 8 rebounds.
  • Eric Peaks Jr. added 14 points and 6 boards.
 
STATS OF THE GAME
  • The Pacers shot at 47.1% from the field in comparison to Greensboro's 43.2%.
