The William Peace Women's Basketball team improved to (18-2) overall and (11-0) in USA South play as another fourth quarter surge propelled them past the Falcon's of Pfeiffer University. The fourth quarter comeback was kickstarted by Kiera William and Sydney Austin and would be capped off by Jaymesha Sander and Mikayla Ray. Ray would seal the win for the Pacers with a pair of free throws with 3 seconds remaining in the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED

After a scoreless first four minutes from both teams, Jaymesha Sanders gave the Pacers an early 4-0. The Falcons would respond with a 8-4 run that would give them an 8 to 6 lead with under six minutes left in the first quarter. After back and forth action, the Pacers went on to finish the first quarter on a 4-0 run and take back the lead at 14-13.

The Falcons would start the second quarter on a run of their own as they went on a 9-3 run and they take a 22 to 16 lead.

Cierra Baker would then take over as she scored the next 8 points for the Pacers and would bring the Pacers within 3 points of the Falcons. Jaymesha Sanders would tie the game at 29 with 2:13 left in the second quarter. However a pair of free throws from Brina Bentley would give the lead back to the Falcons headed into the half.

The third quarter would see a defensive battle as it remained a close game. A'Mya McClain would give the Falcons the lead halfway through the third quarter. Nautica Smiley would tie the game on two occasions, her second basket would tie the game at 39-39. Kortni Pinion would send the Falcons back in front with under a minute left in the third as Pfeiffer would take a 41-39 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

Pfieffer's A'Mya McClain would start things off in the fourth quarter to extend their lead to 4. The Pacers would then go on a 14-8 run led by Kiera Williams and Sydney Austin. With the Pacers leading by , Jaymesha Sanders and Mikayla Ray would close out the game for the Pacers.The dynamic duo would combine for 8 points in the final two minutes and help secure 62-56 win for William Peace.
