HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Mikayla Ray got the game started with a free throw to give the Pacers the first points of the game. Scoring in the first half was very balanced as both teams would go back-and-forth with scoring. The Bishops would then go onto an 8-point run to extend their lead and get away from the Pacers (9-15). The Bishops would end the first quarter with a lead over the Pacers (12-18).
  • In the second quarter, the Pacers got the scoring started once again with a jumper from Eva Holloway (14-18). Chrystal Jerome would soon get the game to a tie score with a jump shot (24-24). From here on the scoring would be very competitive as the team with the lead would change 3 more times. The Pacers would however end the half down 2 points (35-37).
  • Mikayla Ray would start off the scoring with a nice layup to tie the game at the beginning of the third quarter (37-37). Scoring would be even before the Bishops would try to drive away with a 6-point run (47-39). The Pacers would not let them get away as Khadijah Daniels would tie the game up once again (50-50). The Pacers would end the quarter with the lead going into the final quarter (56-50).
  • The Pacers came into the fourth quarter strong as they started off with an 11-2 run against the Bishops to secure a 10-point lead (67-57). The Pacer defense was strong as they kept the Bishops off the score sheet. With 5 minutes left in the game, scoring would go back-and-forth as both teams came to a stalemate.
