Greensboro, NC -- The William Peace University men's soccer team fell to the Pride of Greensboro College 3-0 in their first USA South conference match-up. The Pacers now have a record of 2-2-1.
 
The Pacers would take control of the game immediately, with a shot from Jorge Aguilar at 1:54 going just above the post. A shot by Jordy Briceno at 8:54 would result in keeper Jacob Smith's first save of the game. Smith would make an impressive save on another shot from Briceno at 15:57. The Pride's Jovan Cotton found the back of the net at 20:59 to give Greensboro a 1-0 lead. Kofi Appiagyei would get a chance at 27:47, but keeper Remy Brezault was sharp in between the posts. WPU struggled with fouls in the first half, tallying 8, and Jordy Briceno would score on a penalty kick opportunity at 31:42 to give the Pride a 2-0 lead. Greensboro continued to lead 2-0 heading into halftime.
 
In the second half, neither team would get any early chances. Both teams' defenses were hard at work, as neither would get a shot on goal until 66:31, when Jovan Cotton  would record his second goal of the night for a 3-0 Pride lead. The Pacers were unable to generate any chances in the second half and would fall to Greensboro 3-0.
