Women's Lacrosse Closes Out Regular Season With Victory Over Salem College

The Basics:

How it Happened:
  • The Pacers opened the game with a 4-0 scoring run to begin the first five minutes of play.
  • Salem's Collette Vladmimery scored back-to-back goals in the sixth minute of the first half.
  • The Pacers responded with a 12-1 run, kicked off by Dana Florian who scored her sixth goal of the half, and Allison Schaper who tallied four goals at the half.
  • The Pacers would lead 16-5 at halftime.
  • Kirsten Dunham opened the second half with a goal at the 10 minute mark on a free position shot. Allison Schaper found Rylie Toomey for a goal shortly after, as the Pacers took an 18-5 lead.
  • Collette Vladmimery continued to carry the Spirits' offense as she scored with 10 minutes remaining in the game.
  • Rylie Toomey found Dana Florian for her seventh goal of the game just moments after Vladmimery's goal.
  • Teia Horton would score a final goal for the Spirits with five minutes remaining, but the Pacer offense would prove to be too strong for Salem College, as William Peace would win, 19-7.
