Raleigh, NC -- After a tough exhibition contest against Division I opponent UNC Greensboro, the William Peace University men's basketball team will turn their focus to the 2020 season. The Pacers will travel to Lynchburg, VA to match-up against University of Lynchburg on January 1st, 2020.
The Pacers conclude the 2019 portion of their season with a 2-7 record overall and a 2-1 conference record. The team recently defeated conference opponent Berea College by an impressive margin (92-70).
Tyson Sellers led the team with 14 points as he went 4-7 from behind the arc and 5-11 from the field, while
John Burwell tallied 13 points and 8 rebounds.
Burwell currently leads the Pacers overall with 117 points and 39 assists.
Trey Bryant has been integral for the Pacer defense as he has contributed 75 rebounds and 9 blocks.
The Hornets are currently 7-4 overall and 2-1 in the ODAC conference. In their last game on December 11th, they defeated Averett University by a score of 61-42. Tharon Suggs leads the team with 204 points as he is currently shooting at 47.4% while T.C. Thacker has added 110 rebounds and 147 points for the Hornets.
Tip-off is scheduled for 2PM.
