Raleigh, NC -- The William Peace University women's soccer team fell Greensboro College 3-0 on October 19th. The Pacers now drop to 6-9-1 overall and 2-3-0 in the conference.
In the first half, the Pride would start play aggressively as they maintained possession in the Pacer end. Angela Niles would get a shot in the left corner past keeper
Kasey Wilkins at 27:55 for a Pride lead of 1-0. Greensboro continued to put the pressure on the Pacers as they amassed 7 shots on goal and didn't allow WPU a single shot. Keeper
Kasey Wilkins made several impressive saves to keep her team in the game, which would head into halftime with the Pride leading 1-0.
Raine Greene would get the first chance in the second half as her shot at 50:53 would go just wide. Just five minutes later, Angela Niles would find the back of the net for her second of the game to give the Pride a 2-0 advantage.
Raine Greene would get the first shot on goal for WPU at 62:32, but keeper Kelsey Emrich made a great stop to keep Greene off the scoresheet.Â
The Pride increased their lead to 3-0 at 75:54 with a goal by Devin D'Agostin. Greensboro continued to hold the offensive edge and would go on to win 3-0 over WPU.
