Raleigh, NC -- The William Peace University women's soccer team fell to Pfeiffer University October 1st, 2019 in a USA South Conference match-up. The Pacers are now 4-5-1 overall and 1-1 in conference.
In the first half, the Pacers would get on the attack early with
Grace Marion getting the first shot on goal less than three minutes into the game. Pfeiffer University controlled much of the first half as they scored twice early, first with a goal by Mackenzie Pruitt at the 19:27 mark. Dayanna Riera would score five minutes later to give Pfeiffer a 2-0 lead. Pfeiffer continued to pressure the Pacer defense and the game would remain 2-0 heading into halftime

In the second half, Pfeiffer University came out aggressively with Cayci Eaton scoring within the first five minutes of the half for a 3-0 lead. The Falcons would not let up as Dayanna Reira tallied her second goal of the night at 59:27 to give Pfeiffer a 4-0 advantage. Pfeiffer would score again less than two minutes later as Mackenzie Pruitt recorded her second of the night, bringing the score to 5-0.
Victoria Finklea challenged keeper Kaley Hyatt at 66:23 but was unable to find the back of the net. Keeper
Makenzie Jones kept the Falcons from scoring again with some impressive saves in the second half, but the Pacer offense was unable to find the back of the net. The game would end with Pfeiffer taking a 5-0 win.
