Pacers Take Down Hawks In Hermann

THE BASICS:
  • Score: William Peace 75 - Huntingdon College 58
  • Records: William Peace 8-10, 4-6 USA South - Huntingdon College 9-9, 6-5
  • Location: Raleigh, NC --- Hermann Athletic Center

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Hawks started out the game on a 4-0 run to start, but the Pacers soon found their footing and took the lead at the 15-minute mark.
  • The game went wildly contested for the next three minutes, with each team trading off the lead. The Pacers eventually pulled away at 11-minute mark, bringing the score to 17-13.
  • The Pacers would keep the lead and run with it into the final seconds of the first half, finishing out at 38-34.
  • The Hawks tied up the score twice in the second half, keeping the Pacers scoreless for the first five minutes, but the Pacers picked up momentum soon after, scoring back-to-back 3's, to give them a comfortable 9-point lead.
  • The Pacers kept up this momentum to finish out the game and a 3-point basket from Jason Dudley at the buzzer would end the game with a final score of 75-58.

PACER TOP PERFORMERS:
FOR THE FOES:
  • James Harris scored 11 points and made a game-high 8 rebounds.
  • Isaiah King and Scotty Chadwick both scored 10 points.

STATS OF THE GAME:
  • The Pacers scored 40% (14-35) of their 3-point shots to the Hawks' 20% (5-25)
  • The Pacers led for 61% (24:24) of the game.
  • The Pacers made a total of 37 rebounds to the Hawks' 29 rebounds.

  • The William Peace University men's basketball team will stay on their home court at the Hermann Athletic Center to take on LaGrange College on January 27, 2019. The Pacers will tip-off against the Panthers at 1:00 p.m.
