Volleyball Set for Brevard Quad Match

RALEIGH, NC -- The William Peace University volleyball team is back in action on Friday, September 7 for the Brevard College Quad Match. The Pacers open the quad with one game on Friday and will conclude with two games on Saturday.

The Pacers first match of the weekend will be against conference opponent, Greensboro College. Greensboro enters the match with a 1-3 record after securing their first win in their Greensboro College Invitational, against Agnes Scott. The Pacers are also 1-3, after defeating Randolph College in the Averett University Cougar Classic.

In the 2017 season, the Pacers went 2-0 against the Pride of Greensboro College (3-0, 3-1). The Pacers will face Brevard and Pfeiffer on Saturday. Both teams were recently introduced to the USA Athletic Conference and will be eligible for regular season titles this 2018 season. All matches this weekend will not count towards conference records.

The Pacers have been lead by freshman libero, Emily Braxton and Pacer sophomore Brienna Laskowski. Braxton was recently named USA South Rookie of the Week for her performance in the Averett Cougar Classic. Laskowski leads the team in kills with 35 thus far in the season.

The first serve against Greensboro will be at 4:00 p.m.
