Abourjilie & Meley provide spark for Pacers:
The Pacers came into the contest winning two of the last three games & looked to continue their momentum. Michael Meley & Austin Abourjilie played a pivotal role in keeping the contest close. The Pacers found themselves down early in the first period but Abourjilies goal came as an early equalizer with Meley putting the Pacers up 2-1 soon after. An offensive lull saw the Pacers fall behind the Hawks 6-2 early in the second period, but it was once again Abourjilie & Meley coming up big for the Pacers. Abourjilie whipped a shot into the top corner off of a Michael Meley assist that would cut the lead to just three. The Pacers hot hand continued as Dalton Albright found the back of the net thirty-five seconds later to bring the Pacers within 2.
The Pacers saw the majority of their goals come in the fourth period as Walker Rice, Austin Abourjilie and Dalton Albright all scored for the Pacers. Despite the late goal frenzy, the Pacers were not able to come back as they fell 12-20.
