Hampden Sydney, VA -- The William Peace University men's lacrosse team traveled up to Virginia to take on Hampden Sydney College for the final game of their inaugural season. The Pacers would fall to the Tigers of Hampden Sydney by a score of 23-5.

Pacers Unable to Hold the Tiger's Offense: The Pacers would go down early to the Tigers as they scored four quick goals, but AJ Aguilar would answer and score the Pacers first goal of the game. Hampden Sydney would continue their offensive dominance throughout the rest of the first quarter and into the second. Austin Abourjilie scored his first of three goals with 8 minutes remaining in the half.

At the half the score was 15-2 but the Pacers would not quit. Walker Rice would score his fourth goal of the season and Austin Abourjilie would get his second goal of the day in the third and get his hat trick third goal in the middle of the fourth. Abourjilie's final goal would be the last goal the Pacer's would score and the game ended at a score of 23-5.

• AJ Aguilar scored 1 goal taking his season tally to 4 goals

• Michael Meley had 2 assists

• Nick Falso had 1 assist

FOR THE FOE

• Jared Medwar and Jake O'Brian had 3 goals each

• Hunter Brown, Davis Hatch and George Marshall had 2 goals and 1 assist each

• Connor Pool and Justin Freeman had 2 goals each

• Ian Levin and Jack Hayden had 1 goal and 1 assist each

• Dylan Curry, Reilly French, Palmer Jones, Carter Brown and Brooks Apperson had 1 goal each

The Pacers finish up their inaugural season  with a record of 5-10 overall and 2-4 in conference. With a young core, the Pacers are set up for success in the future and hope to improve with big goals set for next season.
