Raleigh, NC-- William Peace University Softball team traveled to cross town rivals Meredith College for a double header.The Pacers would fall in both games by a score of 2-11 and 1-6. The Pacers move to 14-16 on the season while Meredith improve to 19-12.
Game One
Nadia Blevins reached base to start off the game for the Pacers. After a fielder's choice and a Kristina Mojica base hit the Pacers found themselves with base runners on first and third. Alexa Nemeth came up to bat and hit a double to left field scoring Blevins and advancing Mojica to third. The next batter Heather McLean hit a single to score Mojica. Meredith was able to answer in the bottom of the first inning and took the lead 3-2. The Pacers would not be able to score again in the game as Meredith pulled away and eventually won 11-2.
Game Two
Kristina Mojica was able to get the Pacers on the board in the top of the first inning with a solo homerun to center field. The Avenging Angels would only surrender 4 more Pacer hits on the game. Danielle Hunt would pitch 3.2 innings while Kacy Haithcock pitched 2.1. The Angels offense would continue to produce runs as they went on to win 6-1.

WHAT'S NEXT:
The Pacers will be back in action on Friday March 30th, at 1:00pm. They will be facing Ferrum College Panthers in Ferrum, VA. The Panthers come into the matchup at an overall record of 18-10 while the Pacers have a record of 14-16.
