Men's Tennis Defeats Pride In Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The William Peace University men's tennis team defeated Greensboro College in a conference match-up Wednesday afternoon marking their first win for the 2018 season. The Pacers surged passed the Pride with an impressive 8-1 victory.

Several Pacers picked up victories in both their singles and doubles matches including Dylan Betancourt, Davis Felts, Daniel Carter, Andrew Anderson and Charlie West. Dylan Betancourt swept Carlos Barragan playing in the number one singles spot (6-0, 6-0). Charlie West also swept his opponent keeping Torian Bullock off the scoreboard in his singles competition. Andrew Anderson picked up his second and third victories of the season with wins in his singles and doubles match-ups. Davis Felts and Daniel Carter picked up their second victory of the day in a close doubles victory over Greensboro's Daniel Christian and Kevin Nickel (8-6).

The Pacers look ahead to prepare for their next match against Pfeiffer University on March 4 at 12:00 p.m. The Falcons are 3-1 overall and will face Methodist University on March 3 prior to taking on the Pacers.
