Pacers Hit the Road for Conference Play in Virginia

RALEIGH, N.C. -- The William Peace University men's basketball team heads to Danville, VA on Tuesday, February 13 to face Averett University in the first of their two matchups this week. The Pacers look to build from Saturday's (83-74) victory against Methodist. The Cougars are currently (12-11) overall and (6-8) in the conference, while the Pacers arrive with a (6-16) record overall and a (4-9) record in the conference.

Averett is coming off an 84-75 win over Piedmont College, where senior James Contreras Jr. continued to lead the team offensively with an average of 23.1 points per game. Contreras also currently leads all USA South players with a total of 532 points for the season.

WPU is led by sophomore Camden Ferguson, who averages 12.1 points per game as he shoots 32.7% from the 3-point line. Sophomore Trey Bryant leads the Pacers in rebounds with 7.3 per game.
