RALEIGH, N.C. -- The WPU men's tennis team opens up their spring season on Thursday, February 1, at 2:00 p.m. against Lynchburg College. The home tennis match will take place at the Ragland Tennis Courts and will feature several new faces for the men's tennis team. This will be the first season for the Pacers under new Head Coach PH Broyhill. The team is comprised of senior returners,
Davis Felts and
Patrick Ralph, and junior returner
Andrew Anderson. Newcomers,
Josh Anderson,
Daniel Carter,
Charlie West, and
Dylan Betancourt fill the remaining spots on the team. In the 2017 season, the Pacers found victory against Geneva College early in the season but would find tough battles amid conference play.
This match will be the first spring contest for the Hornets of Lynchburg College as well. The Hornets went (6-12) last season. This will be the first time the Pacers and Hornets have matched up in men's tennis and will be a true test to kick off their seasons.
