Sellers, Bryant Lead Pacers Past Marlins

THE BASICS:
  • Score : William Peace 91 - V.A. Wesleyan 82

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Marlins would jump out to a 7-2 run to start the game but the Pacers would answer quickly with a monstrous 21-0 run in a span of three minutes of action.
  • Back-to-back three pointers from Tyson Sellers and Camden Ferguson would spark the Pacers scoring stretch.
  • The Pacers would finish with six made three pointers in the first half with Sellers hitting three of the six.
  • The Marlins would play catch-up to the Pacers throughout the first half, making up ground with several second chance points and shots from behind the arch.
  • The Pacers would head into halftime up, 53-41, after shooting 65.5% from the field and 66.7% from three-point range.
  • Within the first three minutes of the second half, the Marlins cut the Pacers lead to seven, 52-59.
  • Timely free-throws from Trey Bryant would keep the Pacers out of reach of the Marlins throughout the second half.
  • A jumper from Lamont Steward would bring the Marlins within three, with 11 minutes remaining down the stretch, however, the Pacers' Bryant would answer with a three-point play to answer.
  • A timely three-pointer from Tyson Sellers with two minutes remaining would give the Pacers a comfortable 12 point lead as the second half began to wind down.
  • V.A. Wesleyan's Corey Pelham would hit a three pointer as time ran out to bring the final score to 91-82, in favor of the Pacers.

  • Tyson Sellers lead all scorers with 26 points.
  • Trey Bryant added another double-double to the season with 24 points and 11 rebounds.
  • Bryant and Sellers both shot an impressive 77.8% from the field.

  • Percy Burt and Lamont Steward lead the Marlins with 21 points each.
  • Kelvin Nicholson lead the Marlins with 6 rebounds.
  • Keijon Honore finished with 16 points, going 4-10 from three-point range.
