Lookout Mountain,GA-- The William Peace Men's soccer team fell by a score of (1-0) to the Scots of Covenant College in a USA south Conference Match-up.
The Pacers would start off on the right foot with a clear chance under a minute when a cross from Jorge Aguilar found Alfredo Martinez on the back post. Martinez's shot would be saved by the Scot's Paul Lemay. The Pacers would continue to put pressure on the Scots throughout the first half. William Peace would finish the first half with 11 shots. The first half was a very entertaining back and forth half of soccer as the Scots would take 10 and force Jacob Smith to make three impressive saves to keep the Pacers in the game.Paul Lemay would also stand tall in net in the first half for the Scots coming up with 4 saves.
The second half would be a different story as Covenant would control most of the game. The Scots would end with ten shots. Jonathan Barrett would find the break through for the Scots (63:44) Â into the game off a bad defensive clearance from the Pacers. The Pacers would push forward with under ten minutes left in the second half going with three defenders in the back. The Scots back line would hold the Pacers as the game would turn physical in the final minutes. The Pacers would have one last chance with under a minute left as Jorge Aguilar had a freekick right outside the box. Aguilar's free kick would be cleared off the line by a Scots defender as time ran out.

The Pacers now (8-3-5) are now third in the USA South East division will travel to Maryville College for their last regular season game. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00pm on Friday Oct. 26.
