GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The William Peace University women's basketball team suffered a 68-58 loss to Greensboro College on Wednesday night. The Pacers drop to 15-5 on the season and 7-3 in the USA South.
The Pacers led for most of the game and went up, 32-26, at the half. The Pride started to mount a comeback in the third getting within five points at 43-38. The fourth quarter proved to be the Pacers' downfall. William Peace gave up 30 points in the fourth quarter and couldn't hold off the Pride's attack,
Whitney Walker led the Pacers with 19 points while
Tyler Mercer and
Nadine Ealey each added 11. The Pacers struggled from beyond the three-point line going 0-10 from downtown on the night. The Pacers shooting struggles weren't exclusive to beyond the arc; the Pacers only shot 31% from the floor.

William Peace drops to 7-3 in the USA South, which ties Greensboro for 2nd in the East. The top two teams in each division will receive a bye in the conference tournament and host.
