Men's Basketball To Take On Falcons on New Years Eve

RALEIGH, N.C. -- The WPU men's basketball team hits the road for their last game in 2017 in Misenheimer, North Carolina against the Falcons of Pfeiffer University. The Pacers will play Pfeiffer on Sunday, December 31, at 4:00 p.m.

The last contest for the Pacers was played in Lynchburg, Virginia where the Wildcats of Randolph College defeated WPU in a competitive battled which concluded with the Pacers losing by just one point.

Through eight games, the Pacers are led by freshman Tyson Sellers and sophomore Trey Bryant who are averaging 11.5 and 11.3 points per game, respectively. Bryant also leads the team in rebounds, averaging 8.3 per game.

The young Pacer team is averaging 75.6 points per contest and will be encountering a Pfeiffer team that is averaging a staggering 121.4 points per game. The undefeated Falcons feature six players averaging double-figure points per game, lead by senior guard, Josh Calhoun (23.2 ppg).
