RALEIGH, N.C. -- The William Peace University men's basketball team (1-3) opens up conference play on Wednesday, November 29, at 7:30 p.m. at home against the Battling Bishops of North Carolina Wesleyan College (1-3).
The Pacers enter the match having lost their last two games to Emory and Henry College and Roanoke College. The Bishops recently lost to Roanoke College as well in over-time, with a final score of 84-71 in favor of the Maroons.
The Pacers find strength in sophomore forward,
Trey Bryant, who is averaging 9.8 rebounds a game and 14.8 points per game. Sophomore guard,
John Burwell, leads the team with 16.7 points per game, 6.7 assists per game, and an impressive 7.3 rebounds per game.
Coming off of a three-game losing streak, the Battling Bishops have lost each game by a spread of 13 points or more. NCWC finds leadership in senior guard, Adrian Moore, who averages 17 points per game.
