RALEIGH, N.C. -- The William Peace University men's basketball team travels to Virginia Wesleyan College in Newport News, Va. on Wednesday, November 15, for their regular season opener with tip-off set for 7:30 p.m.

The Pacers recently played Elon University in an exhibition game on Saturday, November 11. With that contest, the Pacers had the opportunity to compete against a strong Phoenix defense and better prepare for the Pacers opponents to come.

Camden Ferguson led the Pacers on Saturday with nine points. Junior, Sam Arnold contributed six rebounds and six points.

The Marlins of Virginia Wesleyan went (19-9) overall last season and lost in the semifinals of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference tournament last year. This will be the first match-up between the two teams.
