Box Score RALEIGH, N.C. -- The Pacers battled Meredith College on Wednesday evening going to five sets. After swapping victories every other set, the Pacers fell in set five losing 3 sets to 2. The Pacers now have a conference record of (4-1) and (8-11) overall. The Angels now improve to (7-9) overall and (5-1) in conference and rank second in the USA South.

This cross town rivalry game was a well-fought game with a standing room only crowd. The line score concluded, (22-25, 25-23, 21-25,  25-17, 10-15). 
The game was a nail biter from start to finish while both teams were determined to win the match and put points on the board.  Carson Williams lead the team with 27 digs, while WPU as a team out scored the Angels 78 digs to 70. WPU's defensive dominance continued with blocks, notching 9 to Meredith's 5. Sha'Nice Frazier tallied 5 blocks on the night as well as 10 kills. WPU's Hailey Stout and Mya Parks contributed 12 kills a piece with 38 of the team's 45 assists coming from Liana Solomon. 

The Pacers face a quick turn around as they head to Virginia Beach for a non-conference match, against the Marlins of Virginia Wesleyan. This Thursday night game will be played at 7:00 p.m. The Marlins are (10-6) overall.
