Box Score GREENSBORO, NC -- The William Peace University women's volleyball team faced Greensboro College on October 18th, 2017 in Greensboro, NC. The USA South conference game was a close match-up, but the Pacers would come out on top over Greensboro 3-1. The Pacers improve to (13-16) overall and (9-3) in conference.
The Pacers led for the majority of the first set, eventually taking a dominant lead and winning the set by eleven points, 25-14. In the second set, WPU continued with the commanding play as they captured the set 25-15. Set three would prove to be a much closer match, with Greensboro leading for most of the set. The Pacers fought hard but fell 25-21. The fourth set was another back-and-forth game, but WPU would grab the win 25-21.
Freshman
Hailey Stout and sophomore
Mya Parks led the team in kills, with 15 and 13 respectively. Senior
Liana Solomon had 46 assists and 3 service aces for the game. Overall, WPU had 57 kills in the match.
The Pacers now look ahead to the Ferrum Tri-Match on October 21st, where they will face Pfeiffer University and Ferrum College. Pfeiffer is currently (2-16) overall, while Ferrum is (4-18).
