RALEIGH, N.C --  The WPU women's soccer team plays NC Wesleyan on Wednesday, October 18, for their last home game of thethe 2017 season. The Pacers will be honoring their seniors at WakeMed Soccer Park at 7:00 p.m. Amber Arnold, Katie Hodges, and Ashley Johnson are the seniors who will be honored for the night. For the game, SAAC is hosting a white out to celebrate the seniors.

Senior, Amber Arnold plays mostly backfield for the Pacers and during her career has played in 72 games. She has earned Academic All-Conference two years in a row and received Most Valuable Player her sophomore year. Arnold scored a goal and assisted a goal against Mary Baldwin University in her 2016 season.

Senior, Katie Hodges plays middle field and during her career has played in 69 games. Hodges has earned Academic All-Conference and Rookie of the Week during her career. This season she scored a goal against Sweet Briar College and beat her single-game high of 3 shots with 6 shots against Sweet Briar.

Senior, Ashley Johnson is a defender for the Pacers and has played in 57 games. Johnson has earned Academic All-Conference honors during her time at WPU. This season Johnson can be seen in the backfield but over her career she has scored 3 goals and tallied one assist.

SAAC is hosting a white out for the game. The members of the Student Athletic Advisory Club will be passing out t-shirts. Spectators can receive a t-shirt  by giving one dollar or two cans to help raise money for cans across the conference.

The Pacers are currently (1-11) overall and (0-5) conference. Their last game of the season will be Saturday, October 21, at Ferrum College.
