Men's Soccer Falls to Falcons on the Road

Box Score
MISENHEIMER, N.C.-- The WPU men's soccer team took on Pfeiffer University resulting in a 0-5 loss. The Pacers are now (6-9-1) overall and remain (2-5-1) in conference as Pfeiffer will not enter the USA South conference until the following year.

The Pacers fought hard and maintained a lot of possession but were unable to stop the Pfeiffer attack as they attained three goals in the first half. Although the Pacers moved the ball around well they were unable to get a clear attack on goal during the half as Pfeiffer had 11 shots in the first half while the Pacers only had one.

During the second half the Pacers seemed to be doing a lot better from kick off, but were still unable to put numbers onto the board. The Pacers had 7 shots in the half one hitting the post in the 75th minute by #10 Chris Deleon, while Pfeiffer had 10 shots, 2 of them hitting the back of the net. It was not a very physical game though WPUs #16 Seth Cranford fouled an opposing player resulting in a yellow card in the 55th minute.

The Pacers will play again at 5:00 p.m. on October 20 against the Scots of Maryville College, at WakeMed Soccer Park. The Scots are (12-1) overall and (7-0) in conference. The game will be a whiteout game for the Pacer Nation community.
