RALEIGH, NC -- The WPU volleyball team beat NC Wesleyan 3-1 Thursday night. The intensity of the crowd kept the Pacers fighting for another conference win.

Set one, the Pacers dominated winning (25-22). The second set was also lead the entire time by the Pacers ending (25-22). Set three took a different turn with the Bishops battling against the Pacers and winning the set (25-20). Set four the Pacers picked up the pace and crushed the bishops (25-16) ending the night with a conference win.

The Pacers had a total of 43 kills while freshman, Sha'Nice Frazier, lead the night with 8 kills. Senior, Liana Solomon, had 27 assists for the night while senior, Carson Williams, ended the night with 25 digs.

The Pacers are now (7-2) in conference and (11-13) overall. Saturday, October 14, the Pacers take on a home conference tri-match against Averett University and Methodist University at Hermann Athletic Center. Averett University is currently (10-0) in conference and ranks #1 in the USA South. Methodist University is (5-4) in conference. The Pacers sit in third place behind Meredith College.
