William Peace Faces Maryville Friday Night

MARYVILLE, Tenn. -- The William Peace University men's basketball team will face Maryville (Tenn.) on Friday night at 5:30 p.m. The Pacers are looking to bounce back after losing the Greensboro College their last time out.

The Pacers are being led by seniors Ryan Emfinger and Chris Thomas who are scoring at 17.1 and 15.1 points per game. Senior Jalen Vince is scoring nearly 10 points per game and averaging five assists. Freshman Jay Hicks has given the Pacers some steady play and averages 10.2 points per game in only 22 minutes.

The Pacers lost to Greensboro College on Sunday, 100-97, in an extremely close game. The Pacers were unable to stop Greensboro's offense enough times to get ahead. Camden Ferguson did break the school record for made three pointers in a single game against Greensboro when he made eight trays. The freshman is 18 of 27 from downtown the last three games.

The Scots (12-4) are 3-3 in the USA South, but their losses have come to the teams who occupy the top three spots. While the Pacers lead the conference in points per game at 85.2, the Scots are fourth at 80.8. The Pacers lead the conference in rebounding but the Scots are second, so the team that comes away with the rebounding battle could come away victor as well.

The game will tip at 5:30 p.m. A live stream and live stats are available.
