Box Score STAUNTON, Va. -- The William Peace University women's basketball team got back to its winning ways with an 85-64 win over Mary Baldwin during a Sunday matinee. The Pacers shared the scoring load pretty evenly with six players totaling nine points or more.
The Pacers got up early in the first quarter taking a 21-12 edge into the second quarter. The second quarter was fairly even and the Pacers took a 34-26 lead into the half.
The Pacers earned their win in the third quarter where the team outscored the Fighting Squirrels 27-10. The Pacers cruised through the fourth to pick up the teams ninth win of the year and second in conference.
Nadine Ealey led the way for the Pacers with 17 points.
Whitney Walker scored 13 and
Hannah Ericksen added a season-high 12 points.
Makayla Ray was a point shy of earning a double-double with nine points and 10 rebounds.
THE BIG PICTURE
William Peace picked up its ninth win of the year and second in the USA South. The Pacers are looking strong heading into the meat of the conference schedule.
