FERRUM, VA – The William Peace University women's soccer traveled to face the Panthers of Ferrum College Saturday afternoon, where the Pacers were handed a tough 7-0 loss.
The Pacers (1-6-1, 0-3 USAS) only trailed by one at the break after Payton Stuart struck in the 11th minute, but the wheels came off in the second half starting with two more from Stuart, who finished the game with a hat trick.
Grace Mueller scored in the 79th after collecting her own rebound and again in the 87th with help from Breanne Kretzer. Alexis McCargo also netted a pair in the second half for Ferrum (4-3, 2-1 USAS), both of which were assisted by Mueller.
The WPU women's soccer team looks to bounce back tomorrow against Mary Baldwin at 1:00 p.m.
