RALEIGH – The William Peace University men's basketball team will be looking to secure its fifth straight win on Saturday afternoon when Roanoke College comes to town. The Pacers (5-1) have had a little over a week to prepare for the Maroons.
William Peace's four-game win streak has given Pacer fans very short finger nails. Each game has been decided by 10 points or fewer, with a couple coming down to the final few possessions in the game. Some clutch free-throw shooting and tight defense has allowed William Peace to stay ahead in the close decisions.
The team is being led by a trio of seniors who are scoring in double figures:
Ryan Emfinger,
Jalen Vince and
Chris Thomas. Emfinger leads the team averaging 14.2 points a game, Vince is scoring 13 and Thomas is averaging 11.5.
