HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va., -- The William Peace University Men's basketball team will face Hampden-Sydney College for the second time this year on Wednesday night. The Pacers won the previous matchup at home, 80-73.
The Pacers have won five straight to get to 6-1 for the first time in program history. William Peace has reached the mark with the leadership of three seniors –
Chris Thomas,
Ryan Emfinger and
Jalen Vince. The three seniors are averaging double figures in scoring at 16.9, 15.6 and 11.4, respectively. Emfinger is leading the team in rebounds at 6.6 and Vince is nearly averaging five assists per game.
The Pacers are also coming off a 108-92 victory over Roanoke College in which many school records fell by the wayside.
Chris Thomas went 18-19 on free-throw attempts and
Willie Herring knocked down six three pointers. The team made 19 total threes en route to 108 total points.
