MURFREESBORO, NC – The William Peace University women's soccer team traveled to Division II Chowan University on Wednesday, where the Pacers (2-10-1) fell by a final score of 5-0.

Kimberly Serio struck first for Chowan (5-5) in the 21st minute with the help of her teammate Rebekah Beal. Harriett Pallet made it 2-0 in the 31st and then found Serio in the 36th for her second goal of the game. Beal added a pair of late second half goals in the 87th and 89th minutes.

The WPU women's soccer team is back at WakeMed Soccer Park this Friday, hosting Ferrum College at 7:00 p.m. The game was originally slated for Saturday but rescheduled with the impending threat of Hurricane Matthew this weekend.
