DANVILLE, VA – The William Peace Baseball Team took a 1-0 lead after their first at bat of the day, but it was all Averett from there. WPU scored one run the rest of the afternoon, dropping game one, 13-1, followed by an 8-1 loss in game two.
Christian Neal started game one and was pinned with the loss, while Coleman Greene was tacked with the loss in game two. At the plate, Neal and Tyler Klinedinst led the way, combing for three hits apiece of WPU's 13 total.
TJ Viracola and Joshua Hatcher both picked up wins for Averett. Taylor Davis went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and three runs scored in game one. Davis added another 3-for-3 performance in the second game.
The Pacers host a conference series against Piedmont this weekend, starting Friday at 7:00 p.m.
