RALEIGH, NC - The WPU Women's Tennis team swept Ferrum, 9-0, this afternoon in their final match of the season.
In the final match of their careers, the senior duo of Abigail Nails and Kristen Edwards picked up an 8-1 in doubles. Nails also picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win at no. 1 singles, while Edwards took down the point at no. 3 singles 6-1, 6-1.
Alexandra Dixon and Sierra Wyse teamed up for an 8-6 win at no. 2 doubles. Dixon won her match at no. 2 singles 7-6, 6-4. Wyse played no. 4 singles and won 6-3, 6-1.
Rachael Peoples and Olivia Egbert also combined for three total points between them, starting with an 8-3 win at no. 3 doubles. Peoples grabbed a point at no. 5 singles, taking her opponent down 6-1, 6-2. Egbert went on to win 6-0, 6-1 in the no. 6 spot.
