Raleigh, NC – The William Peace women's tennis team dropped their season opener Saturday afternoon against Sweet Briar College, 6-3.
Abigail Nails and Rachael Peoples were responsible for all three of WPU's three points as they started off the day with a no. 3 doubles win over Anna Colvin and Samantha Yew. Nails topped Colvin in no. 4 singles; 6-2, 6-0. Peoples also picked up a two set win (6-0, 6-3) taking down Adwoa Sika at the no. 5 spot.
The Pacers return to action next on February 28 when they travel to take on Randolph.
