MARTINSVILLE, VA – The William Peace volleyball team squared off against Meredith College for the third time this year as the USA South conference tournament got underway on Friday. Unfortunately for the Pacers, the third time wasn't a charm. They fell to the Avenging Angels once again, 3-0.
WPU took an early 4-2 lead in the first set but that was the highlight of their day as Meredith (25-7), the top-seed out of the North, rolled over the Pacers easily: 25-14, 25-17, 25-15.
All-Conference selection Megan Mansfield led the way for Peace. She registered 11 kills hitting .429 in addition to a pair of digs, a block solo, and a block assist.
Carson Williams, also selected to the All-Conference team, led the Pacers defensively with 10 digs.
The Pacers end the year with an overall record of 13-22.
