Tyler Parton enters his first season as Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at William Peace University in 2026-27 after returning to his alma mater following a four-year playing career with the Pacers.
A native of Asheville, North Carolina, Parton appeared in 90 career games from 2020-24, making 52 starts while totaling 697 points, 158 rebounds, 156 assists, and 94 steals. He helped lead the Pacers to the 2023 USA South Championship game and finished his career with 113 three-pointers while shooting 34.1 percent from beyond the arc.
Following graduation, Parton joined Stella Energy Solutions, where he serves as a Corporate Finance Associate. He has also spent the past two years coaching at Neuse Christian Academy, helping lead the program to back-to-back conference and tournament championships while providing private basketball instruction.
At William Peace, Parton serves as a part-time assistant coach, assisting with player development, recruiting, scouting, and game-day preparation while bringing firsthand knowledge of the program after playing all four seasons under Head Coach Claude Shields.
During his playing career, Parton earned multiple USA South Academic All-Conference and CSC Academic All-District honors and was named to the NABC Honors Court for the 2023-24 season.
