Troy Humphrey enters his third season as Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at William Peace University in 2027 after being named the program’s head coach prior to the 2025 season.
In his second season leading the Pacers, Humphrey guided William Peace to the most wins in program history with an 8-9 overall record during the 2026 campaign. The Pacers also earned three Player of the Week honors while setting multiple program records, including team records for caused turnovers and clears.
During his first season in 2025, Humphrey led the Pacers to a 6-8 overall record and a 3-5 mark in USA South Conference play, helping William Peace secure a USA South Tournament appearance. The Pacers also featured two players who finished among the top 10 in the conference in goals scored.
Humphrey arrived at William Peace following the 2024 season at Methodist University, where he served as assistant coach for the men’s lacrosse program. As defensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator, Humphrey helped Methodist tie for second in the USA South Conference in goals against average.
Prior to Methodist, Humphrey spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Muhlenberg College from 2021-23. During his tenure, Muhlenberg produced four All-Americans and 13 All-Centennial Conference selections while advancing to the Centennial Conference Semifinals each season.
In 2023, Muhlenberg hosted its first-ever conference tournament game and earned a national ranking for the first time in program history. The program also set a school record for wins during the 2022 season.
Before entering the collegiate ranks, Humphrey spent more than 20 years coaching high school athletics in New York, including lacrosse, football, softball, and wrestling. His most notable tenure came at Chenango Valley High School from 2018-21, where he served as head boys lacrosse coach.
Humphrey graduated from SUNY Cortland in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in physical education.
