William Peace University

Nautica Smiley enters her third season as Volunteer Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at William Peace University in 2026-27 after concluding her playing career with the Pacers in 2024.

A standout point guard for William Peace, Smiley appeared in 42 career games while making 23 starts during her two year collegiate career. During the 2023-24 season, she started all 19 games played and averaged 13.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game while leading the Pacers in assists and steals.

Smiley earned multiple USA South Player of the Week honors throughout her playing career and finished her career with 295 points, 138 rebounds, 75 assists, and 51 steals.

Known for her leadership and experience at the point guard position, Smiley has transitioned into a coaching role with the Pacers while helping mentor William Peace guards and assisting with player development.

A native of Asheville, North Carolina, Smiley graduated from William Peace University in 2024.
