William Peace University Athletics is proud to announce the hiring of Hali Christensen as an Athletic Trainer. Christensen will join the staff on June 16, 2025, bringing a wide-ranging clinical background and a commitment to student-athlete health and performance.

Christensen completed her Master of Science in Athletic Training from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in May 2025. Her clinical experience includes working with high-level programs such as NC State Football, UNC Charlotte Tennis and Lacrosse, and Northwest Cabarrus High School. She has developed a skill set in injury evaluation, rehab planning, and return-to-play protocols.

"I'm so excited to be a part of the William Peace team!" Christensen mentioned. "Thank you to all of the Athletic department, specifically Claude Shields and Danielle O'Leary, for taking this chance on me. We have a great team and we're ready to give our student athletes the best care possible!"

A native of North Carolina, Christensen also holds a Bachelor of Science in Health and Fitness Specialist from East Carolina University. She is certified in CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and is an active member of both the National Athletic Trainers' Association and the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

"We are excited to have Hali join us at 15 E Peace Street. Athletic Director Claude Shields said. "It was evident in the interview process that she is dedicated to providing first class care to her student-athletes. We can't wait for her to get started and hit the ground running!"
