William Peace University

Becky Scroger enters her fifth season as Head Women’s Soccer Coach at William Peace University in 2026 after being named head coach prior to the 2022 season.

Since arriving in Raleigh, Scroger has led the Pacers through the most successful stretch in the program’s NCAA Division III era, guiding William Peace to multiple winning seasons, conference tournament appearances, school records, and all-region selections.

In her first season at the helm in 2022, Scroger guided the Pacers to an 11-6 overall record, marking the most wins in program history as an NCAA Division III institution. William Peace also earned a USA South Conference Tournament appearance while six players received USA South All-Conference honors. Kyra Delaney and Raine Greene both earned First Team All-Conference recognition before becoming the first United Soccer Coaches All-Region selections in program history.

The Pacers followed with another record-setting campaign in 2023, once again earning a berth in the USA South Conference Tournament while breaking the program record for goals scored in a season. Emma Avery established new school records for goals scored and points in a single season while earning USA South All-Conference honors and United Soccer Coaches Third Team All-Region recognition alongside Kayla Johnson.

Prior to arriving at William Peace, Scroger spent five seasons as Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Thiel College in Greenville, Pennsylvania. During her tenure, the program earned 10 all-conference selections while continuing to improve both competitively and academically. In the spring 2021 season, Thiel posted its best conference record since 2014 and finished undefeated at home. During the 2020-21 academic year, the program earned the United Soccer Coaches Academic Award for the first time in school history after posting a 3.65 team GPA.

Before becoming a head coach, Scroger served as an assistant coach at Division II Seton Hill University from 2015-16, helping the Griffins earn their first NCAA regional ranking in program history while coaching all-conference and all-region performers. She also served as an assistant coach at Division I Bucknell University in 2014, helping the Bison earn their first Patriot League Tournament victory since 2007.

From 2012-14, Scroger was an assistant coach at Washington & Jefferson College, where she helped guide the Presidents to two 10-win seasons and a conference semifinal appearance. During her tenure, Washington & Jefferson produced multiple all-conference, all-region, academic all-district, and all-star selections, including the 2013 PAC Player of the Year.

As a student-athlete, Scroger was a four-year starting goalkeeper at the State University of New York at Fredonia. During her playing career, the Blue Devils earned their first NCAA regional ranking, won the first SUNYAC playoff game in program history, and advanced to three SUNYAC and three ECAC Tournament appearances.

A three-time SUNYAC All-Conference selection, Scroger was also a three-time SUNYAC All-Academic Team and Commissioner’s List honoree. She earned NSCAA/Adidas NCAA Division III All-Region recognition in 2007 and still holds six goalkeeping records at SUNY Fredonia, including career goals-against average, career shutouts, and career wins.

A native of Rochester, New York, Scroger graduated magna cum laude from SUNY Fredonia with a bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts and New Media: Graphic Design before earning her MBA with a specialization in Sports Management from Seton Hill University.
