Courtney Tucker

Tucker is a four-year letter-winner for NC Wesleyan. She enjoyed a stellar collegiate career at North Carolina Wesleyan and was named the Battling Bishops' Female Athlete of the Year. She also had the honor of being elected to the USA South 50th Anniversary team. A three-time USA South All-Conference performer at first base, she twice garnered First Team accolades, as well as All-Region and NCCSIA All-State recognition. She was also a two-time Most Valuable Player. To date she still holds program records for career RBIs and career putouts. Her talents did not stop in the US. She also played in Europe as a member of the World Sport Stars Softball Club.

After graduating with a degree in criminal justice and psychology, she pursued two masters degrees, with one in Management and Leadership and the other in Sports Administration and Management from Liberty University.

Tucker’s coaching career began as a graduate assistant at Averett University. In her first season she helped the Cougars to an overall 3rd place finish in conference play. She then rejoined her alma mater, NC Wesleyan where she worked as the outfield and hitting coach. During her coaching career at NC Wesleyan she helped over 100 athletes garner academic and athletic accolades. After leaving NCWC she joined the Fighting Owls at Harford Community College in 2018 as the assistant coach. She worked with hitters and outfielders. Her outfields maintained stellar defense with limited errors through the season.
She assisted the Owls to .500 finish in conference play. The Owls made the trip to regionals for the second time where 8 members of the program garnered all conference recognition.

Tucker is a proud member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.  When she is not on the field with the Pacers, Tucker serves as head coach for the 14U Triangle Twisters and gives lessons at Grand Slam USA. Tucker loves to give back to softball and has founded a softball development company and Non-profit organization.  Her passion and enthusiasm is evident with each athlete she connects with. She is a native of Chesterfield, Virginia and now resides in Morrisville, North Carolina.
