Pacers Add Two Assistant Coaches to Coaching Staff

RALEIGH, N.C. - William Peace University Athletics has announced the additions of Jackson Carroll and Parker Vaughan to its coaching staff. Carroll joins the men's volleyball program as an assistant coach ahead of its inaugural 2026-27 season, while Vaughan joins the women's lacrosse staff as an assistant coach.

Jackson Carroll - Men's Volleyball

Carroll joins the Pacers after gaining coaching experience with Triangle Volleyball Club in Raleigh. He has been involved with the club since 2023, assisting with practice planning, player development and team operations. In 2024, Carroll worked with Triangle's AAU Boys 16 Open National Championship team.

"I'm excited to welcome Jackson to the program, and he is a great addition to the staff and team," Head Men's Volleyball Coach Tim Byram said. "It was clear in the interview that he wanted to be involved in a college environment and work with the team on a day to day basis. His experience as both a collegiate player and club coach has given him a wealth of experiences to build on and share with us."

Prior to beginning his coaching career, Carroll enjoyed a four-year collegiate career at Division II King University in Bristol, Tennessee, from 2019-23. He served as a team captain during his senior season and helped lead the Tornado to the 2023 Conference Carolinas Tournament Championship and a berth in the NCAA Tournament.

A 2023 graduate of King, Carroll earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business with a specialization in marketing and a minor in Spanish.

Carroll joins Byram and the Pacers as the program prepares for its inaugural season in 2026-27.

Parker Vaughan - Women's Lacrosse

Vaughan joins the William Peace women's lacrosse staff following a four-year playing career at NCAA Division II Young Harris College from 2021-24.

"Coach Parker brings a wealth of lacrosse knowledge and experience, along with strong connections within the local lacrosse community," Head Women's Lacrosse Coach Keslee Hylton said. "She will be a huge asset to our program, and I'm excited to have her join our staff and get started with us!"

A native of Apex, North Carolina, Vaughan brings previous coaching experience to the Pacers after working with middle-school-aged players with Red Devil United, a program she also competed for during her youth and high school career.

Vaughan appeared in 56 games during her collegiate career at Young Harris, making 27 starts and totaling 21 goals and 23 assists for 44 points. The attacker enjoyed her most productive season as a senior in 2024, recording 13 goals and 11 assists for 24 points across 20 games. She also collected 24 ground balls and caused six turnovers.

Prior to Young Harris, Vaughan attended Apex Friendship High School, where she played four years of lacrosse and totaled 58 career points. During her high school career, Vaughan was also selected to the Brine All-American team after earning a spot on the 25-player roster as a sophomore.

Vaughan earned her degree in Sports and Recreation Studies from Young Harris.

Vaughan joins Hylton and the Pacers ahead of the 2027 women's lacrosse season.
