RALEIGH, N.C. - William Peace men's basketball earned its first victory of the 2025-26 season with a 69-57 win over Johnson & Wales (NC) in Day 2 of the Peace Classic.
The Pacers displayed a complete team effort on both ends of the floor, using consistent defense and efficient shooting to control the game from start to finish. Peace's defense set the tone early, holding the Wildcats to just 33 percent shooting from the field and 18 percent from beyond the arc.
Sophomore guard Tyler Whitehurst led the way with 17 points on 6-for-9 shooting performance, while junior guard Parker Hodgson recorded his second straight double-double, finishing with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
After taking a 30-25 lead into halftime, Peace came out firing in the second half, stringing together multiple scoring runs that pushed the lead to as many as 20 points. The Wildcats were led by Antonio Perkins, who finished with 11 points.
Next up the Pacers will turn their attention to Oglethorpe University as they are set to host them on Sunday November 16th with a 2 PM tip off.
