Bernard Selected USA South Men's Golfer Rookie of the Week

RALEIGH, N.C. – Nicholas Bernard of William Peace, fresh off a tournament victory, was named USA South Conference Men's Rookie Golfer of the Week on Wednesday.

Bernard fired a one-over par 145 to win the Glenn Heath Memorial Tournament in Williamsburg, Va., on Tuesday. He shot an even-par 72 to take a first-day lead and finished with a one-over par 73 in the 79-player field.

A Kill Devil Hills, N.C., native, Bernard led the Pacers to their first tournament win this spring. The Pacers shot a 27-over par 603 to beat NCAA Division II Chowan by one stroke in the 14-team field.
