Women's Soccer Travels To Brevard For USA South First-Round Contest Saturday

Emma Avery Has A Team-High Seven Goals

RALEIGH, N.C. – No. 8 seed William Peace travels to No. 1 seed Brevard for a USA South Tournament women's first-round soccer contest in Brevard, N.C., on Saturday, Nov. 2. Kickoff is at 5 p.m.

This will be the second meeting this season between the Pacers and Tornados. In the first matchup, William Peace fell 3-1 at Brevard on Oct. 24.

The winner will play either No. 4 seed Southern Virginia or No. 5 seed Meredith on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at a time to be announced. All tournament games will be at the site of the higher-seeded team.

The Pacers finished the regular season 3-6 in the USA South and 5-7-2 overall. The unbeaten Tornados were 8-0-1 in the conference and 14-0-2 overall.

Emma Avery leads the Pacers with seven goals this season. She is 10^th in the USA South in goals per game and is tied for sixth with teammate Savanna Berckmiller in game-winning goals per game.

Mia Rumachik scored four goals and Cate Czyzewski and Berckmiller each scored two goals in the regular season. Emma Mayer distributed a team-high four assists followed by Kerlyn Navarrete Trejos with two assists.

Mikayla Zvekan leads Brevard in goals (10) and assists (8). She ranks first in the USA South in assists and assists per game.
