Women's Soccer Falls To Southern Virginia

CARY, N.C. – William Peace fell to Southern Virginia 5-0 in USA South women's soccer action at WakeMed Soccer Park on Saturday.

The Pacers fell to 0-2-0 in the USA South and 2-3-2 overall. Southern Virginia, the defending conference champion, improved to 3-0-1 and 4-4-3.

The Knights took charge from the outset. They scored their first goal five minutes into the contest and led 5-0 at halftime.

The Pacers recorded 13 saves, including eight by goalkeeper Mackenzie Kirk, who played the second half.

William Peace will visit USA South opponent N.C. Wesleyan in Rocky Mount, N.C., on Tuesday, Oct. 8. Kickoff is 2 p.m.
