Women's Soccer Falls To Methodist On Senior Day

CARY, N.C. – William Peace fell to Methodist 3-0 in women's soccer action on Senior Day at WakeMed Soccer Park on Saturday.

Despite the loss, the Pacers (3-5 USA South, 5-6-2 overall) are assured of a berth in the USA South Tournament which begins next Saturday, Nov. 2. Currently tied for seventh in the standings, the Pacers can drop no lower than eighth with one game remaining in the regular season. The league's top eight teams qualify for the tournament.

Before the contest, six Pacer seniors were recognized. The seniors were goalkeeper Mackenzie Kirk, forwards Kayla Johnson and Dayna Kenworthy, midfielder/forward Emma Avery and defenders Emma Mayer and Jerri Hanson.

The Pacers conclude the regular season at crosstown rival Meredith on Wednesday, Oct. 30. Kickoff is at 6 p.m.
