Men's Swimming Falls To Chowan In Season Opener

MURFREESBORO, N.C. – William Peace won three events but fell to Chowan 114-95 in its men's swimming season opener on Saturday, Oct. 19.

Seniors Elijah Horman and Joe Williams each captured two events in the dual meet. Horman was first in the 400 freestyle (4:29.51) and the 100 backstroke (1:04.89) and second in the 50 backstroke (30.86).

Williams was the winner in the 100 butterfly (1:00.51) and the 50 butterfly (27.48) and second in the 50 freestyle (25.94). Freshman Joshua Day was second in the 100 freestyle (1:01.45) and fourth in the 50 freestyle (27.37).

The Pacers are back in the water Friday, Nov. 1, and Saturday, Nov. 2, in a double dual meet against Greensboro in Greensboro, N.C. The start times are 5 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. on Saturday.
